Kayte & Ryan were married in Klondike Park on July 25, 2015. They camped there the night before AND on their wedding night, surrounded by their family and friends. It was one of the most personal, intimate weddings I've ever photographed. Did I also forget to mention that it was over 100 degrees that day and EVERYTHING was outdoors? These guys were complete troopers the entire day. From climbing through thick woods to get "the money shot", to wrangling their four kiddos... they were game for anything that day!
This is my favorite image of their entire day...
I have to say that it was so special being there with Kayte on her wedding day. We've been close friends since we were quite young, and our parents still live on the same street! Ryan and I also grew up together, and were self-proclaimed "Band Nerds" together for many years!! :)
Check out Kayte's belt! She designed it herself and it's made completely of pieces, photos, and charms from her and Ryan's childhood.
Here are their 4 incredible kiddos...
And here's their incredibly perfect family photo. I mean -- who looks this good in 100 degree heat?!
You know how people warn you that everything won't go as planned on your wedding day? Trust me when I tell you that it's totally true!! During the ceremony, the heat got the best of Ryan, and he *ALMOST* passed out!! Kayte (a nurse) ran to get him seated and got him a piece of chocolate to get his blood sugar back during the ceremony. The rest of their vows were done with her kneeling down to meet him. It was special, romantic, and totally emotional. There wasn't one dry eye in the house!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Calhoun!!!
