WE LOVE WHAT WE DO!!

The ATP Team is comprised of strong, creative women that are passionate about telling stories and capturing incredibly special moments.  We love hard and laugh loud! Our number one priority is creating a safe space for all people to feel empowered and confident while being photographed. 

With Abbie at the helm, we have several incredible 2nd Photographers for our wedding couples, and several shoot assistants for our branding shoots, newborn sessions, etc.  Our entire team has gone through the ATP Intern program and are all also working for their own photography businesses!

From our interns, to our graphic designer and photographers, we are all about lifting each other up and helping each other's businesses grow. We "nerd out" about technical photography skills, attend workshops and photography conferences together, and truly love the team we've created.

 

 

Abbie

Our fearless leader is Abbie.  She started her full-time photography career in 2009 when she opened Abbie Takes Pictures (otherwise known as "ATP").  Over the past 12 years, she's built and created a company that she's really proud of. As a former teacher, she also mentors other photographers and many of them join her team.  Not only do they shoot weddings and are 2nd photographers for ATP, many of them also own their own photography businesses.

Rosemary

Rosemary is a staff photographer. She approached Abbie in 2019 about being an intern and the rest is history! She's a mom to two adorable kiddos, and works incredibly hard to provide the best experience for our ATP Clients! She recently launched her own business, Rose & Thorns Photography.

Michelle

Michelle is a staff photographer. She hit the ground running with ATP in 2019 and has been a huge part of the team from day one. She works hard, is always learning, and is always a step ahead throughout the work day. She's a huge asset to our team. She is also the owner of Michelle Jahns Photography!

Emily

As one of our Staff Photographers, Emily actually started off as an ATP Client! She's been a photography mentee of Abbie's for several years and she officially joined the ATP Team in 2020 after completing the ATP Intern Program! Emily is also a teacher and mom to two amazing girls. Her photography business is Emily Robb Photography.

Jen

Jen has been a part of the ATP Team since 2015. As one of our Lead Wedding Photographers, Jen brings great leadership and an incredible skill set to the team! She's hilarious and has fit right in since the beginning! She's mom to her daughter, Piper, and three adorable pups.

Morgan

Morgan is our Jack-Of-All-Trades!  She is our shoot assistant, as well as Abbie's personal assistant.  She keeps things super organized and running well during our photo shoots! (She is also an ATP Bride and is now an ATP BirthStory Momma... AND she was an ATP Senior, too!)

Megan

Megan is our graphic designer, creating all of our logos & print media, as well as the graphic design needs of our clients.  She's been with us since 2015! She also runs her own biz!

Intern Daphne

Daphne began interning with Abbie in 2020. She's incredibly excited about learning all things related to photography and is currently helping out on many of our shoots. She's an elementary education major at Loyola in Chicago, where she is also doing a lot of photoshoots in her free time!
