Lately, we have been on Senior Session Overdrive!!
I simply adore shooting Seniors. The girlies have so much fun, and love changing clothes for each location. They love picking out the perfect outfit, and calling me for advice. (And let me tell ya, I totally eat it up!)
The guys, however, are a totally different story. They are usually laid back and quiet, trying to keep their "cool" look. However, by the end of their shoot, they are giggling and laughing with me. Every single one of them says, "That was fun! I thought it was gonna be horrible, but I liked it." Of course, I totally eat it up, but always respond with, "I told you so!".
Here's a quick rundown of our most recent Seniors:
Morgan came to me because I shot her boyfriend's Senior Session photos! (I've known his family for years.) She is a confident, strong young woman that is a complete natural. My favorite part of Morgan's photos is her hair. It's so unique and gorgeous. (Just like her!)
James' mom works with my mom. The rest is history. :) (We all know how our mom's are so proud to tell their friends about their kids. I will be the first to admit the my mom is my greatest source of advertising. i.e. shamless plugs!) The best part of James' shoot was that I got to shoot at the high school that I graduated from. Talk about feeling old!! He did a great job, and was open to all of my suggestions. Keep your eyes peeled for his preview on Facebook... wait until you see his cool fish-eye saxophone photos!
Rosie's mom found me by doing a Google Search for "Saint Louis Senior Pictures". We were lucky enough to use their neighbors backyard for her entire shoot. It's one of the most beautiful yards I've ever seen! They have photos of Rosie in the same yard when she was a kiddo, so it was totally perfect. The day of her shoot was one of the hottest of the year, but she was a total trooper.
Peyton get's her hair done at Salon Dacota (www.SalonDacota.com). Her stylist is Trish, who happens to be cousin. (Thanks for the referral!) Peyton is sweet and quiet. She was so comfortable in front of the lens! She also has a hilarious (and creative!) boyfriend. He came along on our shoot with us, and had a ton of cool ideas for her locations and outfits. Thanks, Will, for all the help!
Chandler really surprised me on the day of her shoot! I had met her earlier that week to help her and her mom pick out some great outfits, and she was so reserved and quiet. However, once I got her in front of my lens on her first location, the girl turned on the energy!! She just lit up, and we really had a great time.
Like I said... I simply adore Senior Sessions. The kids have fun, and I end up having just as much fun as they do!
